Welcome
the the home of the Spokes Redneck Festival website. Just what is the Redneck
Festival? Well, I'll tell you. In 2008, at the request of Spoke's owner Alan
McAnelly, Dennis Phillips started to think up cool festival ideas to promote
at Spokes. On the heels of the successful Hill Country Iron Stampede, the
Spokes Redneck Festival was born. Sponsored by Dennis' band Redneck Jedi,
the annual event is just plain ole fun with tons of great acoustic and live
band sounds to fill the air during the day.
2008 came and went in a blur, but with the Help of Mark Allan
Atwood (who returns to perform again this year) the event found success and
a permanent home at Spokes Sports Bar in Burnet.

About
The Events |
Belly Mud Flop - This is the first year for this event. Take a big blow-up swimming pool, fill it with water and dirt to make mud. Now add a Free White t-shirt to those that want to play and judge contestants based on how well they can "Belly Flop" into a pool of mud. This is a blast to watch and even more fun to play. All contestants can keep the Free T-Shirt, get a free wash up shower and for the top three finishers, take a trophy home.
|
Miss Redneck Pageant - Nothing at the Spokes Redneck Festival is as it seems and that festival rule has never been more obvious than the Miss Redneck Pageant. Girls and guys will participate for the bragging rights that last all year, not to mention a trophy that is all yours if you can win. Defending the title of Miss Redneck is Mark Allan Atwood, so come on girls, are ya gonna let a guy keep the title?
|
Best/Worst Truck - I bet you guessed it, the best truck is the one that has the most primer, mismatched quarter panels and of course the keys in it! You don't have to do anything to participate, an event coordinator will find you if you have the Best Redneck Truck.
|
Best/Worst Dress - Out on your best redneck outfit, it may pay off as the award winner this year! If you don't look like you belong, you just might be the worst dressed.
|
Best/Worst Bike - We don't care if it has a motor or not. If you got to the redneck festival on two or three wheels, and you just made it, you may have the best bike. With pedals or with a motor it makes no difference to us. Just don't expect to win if you are too fancy!

| Washer
Pitching Tournament - Number of players: singles Object of game: Points are made by tossing washers into a cup (center piece).1 point for getting it in the box, 2 Points for Lip, 3 points for getting it in the cup (PVC, Square, can etc.). First person to score 21 wins. Game play summary: Players always shoot towards the same box. Player (player 1) that got points last goes first, throwing all 3 washers. Points are added up for all washers made. Player 2 then throws all 3 washers. If both players get a washer in the middle or in the box, they cancel each other out like in regular horseshoes. $5.00

Balloon Warz New this year is Spokes' own redneck game, Water Balloon Warz. Three people make a team. Divided by a high fence, your team will have 4 minutes to eliminate the competition on the other side of the fence. In what is sure to be a wall of water balloons, if you are hit, you are out. The team with at least one member or the last member hit by a balloon will win and continue to the next round. Single elimination means you just don't want to lose. Oh, and did we mention, if you step out of the boundary you are out. Watch your footing and watch the balloons fly! Trophy's for First and second place teams. |
